Fear is said to be unreal where false emotions appear real. An important aspect in a interview is to overcome fear. Everyone experiences fear during an interview but what is important is you should know how to overcome it. When you are fearless, your thoughts flow freely and you can express yourself efficiently.  Remember your unnecessary fear becomes one of greatest barrier to success.

Negative effects due to fear

  • In a interview you must manage to remain fearless. If you fear you may experience following negative effects.
  • You may sweat and this not not a good sign for you to present in a interview.
  • You cannot think freely since your mind gets blocked when you cultivate fear.
  • When you fear, your stress level increases creating physical disturbances like headaches, feeling like vomiting, dry throat and shaking legs.
  • You remain panic in thought of being failed in the interview even before you have been interviewed.
  • These effects are due to fear and better way is to manage those unnecessary fears.

Simple methods to overcome fear in a interview

There are many ways to overcome fears in interview. Let we discuss about some methods or techniques to overcome fear in interviews.

Self-Assessment

Make your self-assessment before attending the interview. Self-assessment helps you to know about your strengths and weakness. You can develop your strength and can gain confidence. Once you are confident on yourself you can manage your fears and unnecessary fears will not haunt you. You can also get expert guidance in the process of self-assessment.

Breathing Technique

You can use breathing technique when you are in the phase of being interviewed. You may be given sometime to relax yourself in a interview. When you are asked to wait, you can use breathing technique to overcome your stress due to your unnecessary fears. Take a breathe, hold and count for five and release your breathe with count of same. Relax yourself by doing it for at least three or four times. Finally take a deep breathe and then make your mind to answer the interview questions.

These are some techniques which helps you to overcome fear and remain stress free in the interview. By proper practice one develop the ability to overcome and manage fear.
